If Waterchoice Is Only $15 a Week... What’s the Catch?

14 October 2026

We hear it surprisingly often.

Someone calls Waterchoice looking for a better drinking water solution. They tell us they're buying bottled water from the supermarket, sometimes spending $50, $60 or even $70 every week.

Then we tell them Waterchoice is just $15 a week.

And there's often a pause.

“That's it?”

Yes. That's it.

And we understand why people are sceptical.

When something sounds considerably cheaper than what you're already doing, it's natural to wonder where the catch is. Will there be installation fees? Service charges? Expensive replacement filters? Call out fees? A surprise bill when something goes wrong?

So, let's answer the question properly.

What's the catch?

There isn't one.

Waterchoice is $15 a week, and that includes far more than simply having a water filtration system sitting in your home.

Your rental includes:

- A high quality 5 stage reverse osmosis water filtration system
- Installation
- Servicing
- Filter replacements
- Maintenance
- Parts
- Call outs
- Repairs
- Relocation of your system if you move within our service areas

In other words, we don't install a system and then leave you wondering what it's going to cost you to maintain it.

We look after it.

That's the Waterchoice model.

“But I have to sign up for 12 months…”

Yes. Our rentals have an initial 12 month agreement.

And we'd rather be completely upfront about that than bury it in the fine print.

There's a reason for it.

When we take on a new customer, we're making an investment too. We supply the filtration system, organise installation and commit to maintaining and servicing that system.

The initial agreement allows us to provide all of that while keeping the weekly rental at just $15.

So rather than thinking of it as “I'm locked into paying $15 a week for a year,” consider what you're getting in return.

For approximately $780 over 12 months, you have a reverse osmosis drinking water system installed and maintained for you.

If you're currently spending $70 a week buying bottled water, that's approximately $3,640 a year.

That's a difference of around $2,860.

And that's before you consider the trips to the supermarket, carrying bottles home, finding somewhere to store them and dealing with all that empty plastic afterwards.

The question isn't really “Can I commit for 12 months?”

It might be:

“What am I already committing to?”

If you're buying bottled water every week because you don't like the taste of your tap water, you're already spending money on drinking water.

There's just no contract attached to it.

A $70 supermarket shop each week might feel less committed because you can stop whenever you want.

But if you know you're going to keep drinking water, and keep buying it because you don't want to drink straight from the tap, what is that flexibility actually costing you?

Over 12 months, potentially thousands of dollars.

And no, the $15 isn't an introductory trick.

This is another question we completely understand.

Is it $15 now and then suddenly much more expensive later?

No.

Our business has been built around a simple rental model: provide a quality water filtration system, look after it properly and charge a straightforward rental fee.

We want our customers to know what they're paying for.

We don't rely on selling you a system and then making money every time it needs a service, a filter or a repair.

Those things are already part of your rental.

What if something goes wrong?

Call us.

That's another big difference between simply purchasing a filtration system and choosing Waterchoice.

You don't need to become an expert in reverse osmosis filtration. You don't need to work out which filters to order or when they need changing. And you don't need to worry that an unexpected repair is going to result in an unexpected bill.

That's our job.

We supply the system. We service it. We maintain it. We look after it.

You get to drink the water.

Why do people choose Waterchoice?

Usually, they start by wanting better tasting drinking water.

But the convenience quickly becomes just as important.

Turn on the tap and your drinking water is there.

No supermarket water aisle.

No trolley full of bottles.

No carrying cartons into the house.

No stockpile taking up space.

No wondering whether you've got enough water to last the week.

And no ongoing pile of disposable bottles.

Just filtered drinking water, at home, whenever you want it.

Still wondering if there's a catch?

Ask us.

Seriously.

If there's something about our rental that you're unsure about, we'd much rather you ask the question than walk away thinking $15 a week sounds too good to be true.

We'll tell you what's included, explain the initial 12 month agreement and answer your questions before you decide.

Because we don't want you to choose Waterchoice because of a clever sales pitch.

We want you to choose us because, once you compare what you're already spending with what you're actually getting, it makes sense.

$15 a week. One simple rental. We take care of the rest.

Waterchoice - better water, without the bottled water run.
