Green Smoothies!

Have you jumped on board the green smoothie train yet? Green smoothies are not only a great way to increase your fruit and vegetable intake, they are also a great way to hydrate. We love them because they are quick and simple to make, pack a nutrient punch, and you can drink them on the go.

Smoothies are a great way to increase fibre, assist weight loss, keep skin clear, support colon and gut health and boost vitamin and mineral intake. The benefits of drinking green smoothies are well documented and the list is endless.

Here's one of our favourites for you to try. We call it the Green Zinger!

1 cup filtered water (more if you don't like your smoothie too thick)
1 cup packed baby spinach
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup cucumber chunks
1/4 cup frozen pineapple
freshly squeezed juice from 1/2 a lime

Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Don't have time to make a green smoothie in the morning? Try making it the night before and keeping it in the fridge. You'll have a delicious and nutritious breakfast ready and waiting for you.
